31 Today
31 Today
by Aimee Mann
Thirty-one today
What a thing to say
Drinking Guinness in the afternoon
Taking shelter in the black cocoon
I thought my life would be different somehow
I thought my life would be better by now
I thought my life would be different somehow
I thought my life would be better by now
But it's not, and I don't know where to turn
Called some guy I knew
Had a drink or two
And we fumbled as the day grew dark
I pretended that I felt a spark
I thought my life would be different somehow
I thought my life would be better by now
I thought my life would be different somehow
I thought my life would be better by now
But it's not, and I don't know where to turn
No, it's not, and I don't know where to turn
No, it's not, and I don't know where to turn
Easter comes and goes
Maybe Jesus knows
So you roll on with the best you can
Getting loaded, watching CNN
I thought my life would be different somehow
I thought my life would be better by now
I thought my life would be different somehow
I thought my life would be better by now
But it's not, and I don't know where to turn
No, it's not, and I don't know where to turn
No, it's not, and I don't know where to turn
No, it's not, and I don't know

Happy Birthday, brah. Many more.
It never ceases to amaze me how many birthdays are July 4. Have a good one, man. Welcome to 31. :)
What?--thats wasn't an original blogpost idea? Still glad you passed it along--but if its not yours you shouldn't take credit for it Melanism! And you didn't need to since there's still a lot of originality to the post because you have to fill in your own albums, sooo...its definitely a cool idea.
